Canadian MPs were Ottawa on Thursday to debate in the House of Commons. Andrew Scheer also attended following his announcement that he is stepping down as Conservative party leader.

Question Period, known as Oral Questions, is a session in the House of Commons that gives elected MPs a chance "to seek information from the government and call it to account for its actions."
