The Chinese city of Wuhan is ground zero for the new coronavirus that has caused a global health emergency. The city has been on lockdown since January 23, 2020.As hospitals struggle to deal with the outbreak, accounts are emerging of a severe shortage of medical supplies, especially kits to test for the virus.A Wuhan resident spoke to the South China Morning Post on the condition of anonymity.He said he struggled to get confirmation that he and his parents were infected with the virus and spent days trying to get his parents admitted to hospital for treatment.
